Old Venetian filigree technique
Yvone Christa create handmade pieces in 925 sterling silver using the old Venetian filigree technique. Collection includes necklaces, chokers, bracelets, rings, hairpins and earrings.
"Fine threads of silver are soldered together into different floral motifs such as roses, water lilies, orchids and tulips, which evoke the spirit of femininity and romance. The intricate silver work is given an antique finish and set with carefully chosen pearls and semi-precious stones, which makes each piece unique and with no equal", company says. Yvone Christa launches three seasonal collections annually which are sold alongside classic favorites from earlier collections.
In 1999 Yvone Christa was commissioned by the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. to create a Forget-Me-Not collection inspired by a van Huysum painting. The collection is sold at the gallery.
