Richard Ginori reopens in Florence

The fully renovated boutique, spanning nearly 500 square meters and representing the new Ginori home, is located in the centuries-old building Palazzo Ginori, in the Tornabuoni neighbourhood in the heart of Florence. Scheduled during the 86th
Firenze Hometown of Fashion, the opening bears witness to the brand's long-standing bond with the city.
The building is a milestone in the Richard Ginori legacy, which dates back to 1802, when the Manifattura Ginori opened for the first time its shop in the Tuscan capital.
The exhibition itinerary winds through different spaces: the dining room, the kitchen, the drawing room, the lover's alcove, the living area, and then on to the enchanting glasshouse featuring stained glass windows created by renowned Florentine decorative architect Tito Chini (1848-1947).
The ambience is warmed by the use of historic Versailles art flooring panels, boiseries and built-in shelves along the walls in shades of grey, edged in black, and restored furnishings, such as dressing mirrors, tables and consoles.
The kitchen features a cement tile floor and walls covered with hand-painted tiles showing the Manifattura's historic motifs. 
For the inauguration, the flagship store in Via de’ Rondinelli hosts a temporary exhibition of three original works by Gio Ponti — Master and factory’s Artistic Director from 1923 to 1930 — restored by Richard Ginori: Donatella Bowl (1923-1930), Isabella Plate (1927) and Vase with Lid (1930).
The pieces will be on display from 18 June to 21 July in the picturesque glasshouse.
