For Fall/Winter 19-20, Franklin Benjamin Elman has created a collection that fearlessly fuses elements of classicism with the emphatically modern to arrive at the geometric fluidity of the new Trigère woman.
The designer focuses on the Trigère legacy, a heritage that he references with modern pragmatism bringing new life to a captivating and sensual woman.
"The Maison's archive is a precious casket to be used with caution: once opened, a harmonious combination of sculptural and erudite inspirations emerge", company says. "The FW 19-20 silhouettes juxtapose the feminine with the masculine. Contrasting volumes bewitch with their presence: coats with spectacular circular sleeves in fine woolens, boxed jackets with wide volants, geometric blouses and maxi velvet skirts. Modern day suits and structural blouses, dresses with knots and drapes collide with Smoking suits paired with boyfriend trousers". Colours range from black and white to glowing gold and bright green, purple and deep yellow tones.
The precious fabrications include marbled wool jacquard, silk-viscose cady, fil-coupé silk, textured velvet and weightless silk georgettes.
