Izumi Ogino

Design and food

For Expo Milano 2015 the designer Izumi Ogino host Hello Kitty Bento Box Workshops in the Anteprima showroom at Corso Como 9 in Milan. This is a series of cookery workshops on the ancient Japanese tradition of preparing a bento, a veritable art form in the arrangement of an eat-out meal using artistic and aesthetic taste in placing food in the bento – lunch box – combining shapes and colours with special care.
The role of supporter for Japan Pavilion is a recognition of Izumi Ogino’s career. She established Anteprima in 1993 and in her fashions she encapsulated the poetic rigour of the Japanese style and Italian workmanship to create women’s collections with a fine balance of tradition and modernity.
