Chopard acquires Hôtel de Vendôme

Chopard a family company, whose luxury watch and jewelry collections enjoy a worldwide reputation, acquires UHP (Union Hôtelière Parisienne), the company owning the Hôtel de Vendôme in Paris. This transaction ensures a key location for Chopards’ own Boutique network and also kicks off a diversification project for the group.
Situated at number 1, Place Vendôme, the Hôtel de Vendôme erected in 1723 by Pierre Perrin, houses a 5 star establishment. Ideally situated in the heart of Paris, it comprises 29 rooms, including 10 suites and forms the gateway to one of the most famous squares in the world.
Located on the ground floor is Chopard’s flagship Boutique. "The restaurant, on the first floor, enjoys a good reputation and possibilities of synergies between the two worlds are numerous", the company says.
The Geneva based group also plans some future investments. France, where Chopard runs 7 Boutiques altogether, represents a significant market for the brand. Present at Place Vendôme for over 10 years, the firm looks forward to further developing this gem of Parisian hotels.
