Gourmet in Florence

In the historical centre of Florence, between Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio and Santa Croce, in Via delle Seggiole 12, a “cover plaza” borns in the heart of the most authentic Florentine identity and sets its sights on the contemporary world, in a melting pot of suggestions, ranging from a Paris looked by Prévert’s eyes and a sort of New York disco club.
An alluring "jardin d’hiver" welcomes guests in a palace that reveals the signs of a mythical past where the golden ages of Florence merge together.
It is a place of a fancy secrecy to spend relaxing time, for a drink before dinner or a flûte after dinner, enriched with minimal and essential furniture, characterized by the elegance of ad hoc stained satin oak and lit by the same tones of the flooring which has returned to its former glory thanks to an accurate restoration.
Fabio Silla, the chef of LOCALE, wanted to place at the disposal of guests an authentic culinary experience in touch with Tuscan flavours.
“We believe in authenticity. That’s why we pursue the best through the simplest, offering a true Mediterranean cousine. Our insipiration drives from our daily contact with the surrounding Italian nature and culture. Our à la carte proposal changes day by day, following not only the season, but also the mood of the day”, Silla says.
The chef reinterprets centennial recipes, meat first, and reinvents them with styles and preparations borrowed from contemporary influences.
Locale is open every day from 7.30pm to 2.00am.
