A sign of distinction and character

Giorgio Armani participates in Baselworld, the International Watch and Jewellery Show (Basel on March 19 to 26). The brand presented the Emporio Armani Swiss Made Fall 2015 watch collection. Emporio Armani Swiss Made season has been expanded with two new lines: Fluid Deco, designed for women, and Bold Motion, for men. "I find it very stimulating; the idea of combining technical and aesthetic research is a perfect extension of my thinking as a fashion designer. In my view, elegance and functionality should always move together, and this collection is proof of this", Giorgio Armani said.
Precious and elegant the Maharaja’s turban is the inspiration for the peerless Lady Taj collection of cocktail rings created by the Italian jeweller Pasquale Bruni, which combines the  fascination and sumptuousness of the royal courts of the East with the magnificence of Italian manufacturing tradition. The large size of the Lady Taj rings recalls the most traditional royal turban, the only one that could be decorated with jewels and precious stones, a sign of distinction. Sapphires, topazes, amethysts, cornelians, rhodolites, iolites, agates, mother-of-pearl and diamonds are fused in bright colour combinations.
The Piume collection by Salvini (famed for its refined all-Italian manufacture) takes inspiration from the accessories that adorned the most elegant and original hairstyles of 18th-century noblewomen and the sensual looks of Burlesque dancers. The expertly made, diamond-encrusted white gold necklaces, are combined with a swirling ring and the particularly refined earrings. These are joined the elegant masterpiece necklace in white gold and diamonds necklace and the butterfly necklace in the version with diamonds and sapphires.
Inspired by the Italian sweet life, the "Dolce Vita", it is worn on the wrists of women who know how to make the most of life's simple pleasures. Longines has decided to offer a new interpretation of this collection, subtly combining geometric lines with soft curves. The lines of the rectangular case have thus been elongated and arched, some models enhanced with diamonds, to magnify the contemporary elegance and femininity of these new pieces. Cased in steel, and sometimes decorated with diamonds, the Longines DolceVita collection comes in four dimensions. A silver-coloured "flinqué" dial adorned with painted Roman numerals and a black lacquered or white mother-of-pearl dial with diamonds decorates the watches of this line. Slender rhodium-plated or blued-steel hands point to the passing hours and minutes. With their quartz movement, the timepieces are finished by a choice of black, white, grey or red leather straps or by a stainless steel bracelet.
