When Lombardy meets the East
The traditional appointment with the comedy of I Legnanesi is back. The Colombo Family stars, together with the characters of the courtyard and the sparkling boys, in a new show full of laughter, color and majestic musical paintings of the Italian-style revue. In Remember the Bonsai, the traditional Lombard courtyard meets the futuristic Far East for the first time. At the LAC Theater in Lugano on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at 8:30 p.m.; Sunday, March 30 at 6 p.m. Price from 62 to 89 CHF.
“What would you do if one day a dear friend asked you to go for an indefinite time to a faraway land to care for a stranger in exchange for a future substantial inheritance? That's what is asked of the Colombo Family in a quiet afternoon of “backyard chit-chat” by Carmela. An invitation that Italy's funniest family will decide to accept, partly to honor friendship and partly also to fulfill the dream of getting rich, putting themselves as always on the line in one of the most adventurous trips ever,” the release explains. “Thus, Japan, the land of the Rising Sun, a mysterious and at the same time modern and futuristic land, will be the setting for a whirlwind of hilarious gags featuring the hilarious breadwinner Teresa, a sparkling Mabilia and the usually submissive Giovanni".
Will our heroes make it to stay and live in a land so distant and different from their own, or will love for their origins and traditions eventually bring them back home?
