St. Moritz - Der Pavilion - Giorgio Pace

A vibrant network in St. Moritz

Exhibitions, performances, crafts, jewellery and gastronomy in a constantly evolving setting: the cultural platform Der Pavilion aims to create a vibrant network that brings together local and international communities, artists and artisans, galleries and institutions. Conceived as both a meeting place and a dynamic process, Der Pavilion establishes a new cultural rhythm that grows, returns and renews itself over time.
In St. Moritz, Engadine, from 29 January to 1 March 2026, the platform will host Singular Voices, the inaugural chapter, with a series of solo exhibitions by prominent artists and designers. Conceived by Giorgio Pace, manager, artist and philanthropist, founder of Giorgio Pace Projects and co-founder of Nomad, who left in June 2025, Der Pavilion is a year-round cultural ecosystem: a permanent, inclusive and forward-looking cultural infrastructure for Switzerland. A four-week exhibition format inspired by artist residencies, designed for deeper engagement, greater visibility and continuous access to collectors.  ‘With its four-week experimental model, Der Pavilion aims to capture the rhythm of the winter season in St. Moritz and beyond, allowing artists and designers to engage with the dynamic community of collectors,’ explains the company. ‘This extended presence encourages constant visibility, private appointments and an ever-evolving programme, from rotating artworks to events for small groups, fostering a slower, more reflective cultural experience".
The inaugural edition is taking place at the former Hotel Eden and in various spaces that will be specially redesigned. Over time, Der Pavilion will evolve into a permanent architectural structure, a year-round venue for exhibitions, performances and meetings, conceived as a new landmark for creative life in the Engadine. The programme includes exhibitions of works by international artists, design presentations and a section dedicated to contemporary jewellery. Events will include an opera performance in the private theatre of the Badrutt Palace Hotel and an exhibition of flowers and gardens developed with artisans, florists and horticulturists as a celebration of the mountain community's early summer. "Der Pavilion is a movement, something that will grow throughout the year, bringing together art, design and mountain life. The city deserves a platform that enhances its sense of belonging to its environment, in dialogue with the landscape but open to the world".
For galleries, brands and institutions, Der Pavilion represents an invitation to participate in a movement that blends cultural excellence with authenticity, innovation and territory, embracing a new model of cultural exchange based on continuity, collaboration and community.
