Natural elegance

Traditional categories of underwear and beachwear are brushed aside in favour of freedom of combination and interpretation. La Perla continues in Spring-Summer 2016 collection targeting sophisticated, international men with a concept rooted in natural elegance and a mix of different shapes and materials.
The swimming shorts use vibrant colours to bring to life the surreal shell and jellyfish prints and stylised elephant patterns, particularly unique in denim.
"Silk is the feature fabric of this collection which shows off its qualities and versatility", the company says. "Pure Made-in-Italy silk is used for the satin creations and worked using the jacquard technique, such as for the refined night robes with an all-over flying-oyster print, silk and linen or cotton blends are also used for a fresh and summery feel. Natural raffia adds a special touch to the kimono with a prominent weave, also available in a striped version".
Pure lisle cotton is used for the tight vest tops and t-shirts, while the beach and lounge versions feature hi-tech wide mesh. The sporty hooded jackets use a soft silk and cotton fabric for models with/without sleeves to be worn at any time of day, teamed with printed or solid-colour shorts.
