Ethical Collection

Fiona, Meagan, Serena and Venus are the four pieces of the Spring-Summer 2016 collection by Origine, a young brand that produces artisan handbags entirely cruelty free by the creativity of Giulia Marotta, fashion designer from Vercelli. Four bags inspired by just as many great female athletes who chose a vegan approach to life. Just like the debut collection launched in 2015, bags for warm seasons created by Origine are studied in the appearance as much as in functionality, introducing innovative materials and high-quality manufacturing.
The champions are: the Canadian ice skater Meagan Duhamel, the tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams and the marathon runner Fiona Oakes.
The accessories are conceived and designed between Piedmont and Lombardy and they are handcrafted in Florentine laboratories of a long standing manufacturing tradition. The purses, innovative in the lines and the materials used, cater to women who want to combine an ethical choice and the quality of a product made in Italy.
The non-leather used in Origine creations is highly efficient: it’s made of special polyurethane foams. The same materials are used in clothing sectors such as motorcycling and safety equipment. Being waterproof is also a distinctive feature of the cotton and Alcantara fabric used in the SS16 collection.
Four models for a compact and functional line: one tote with double handles and shoulder strap, a shoulder bag “bucket” shaped, one simple shoulder bag and one handbag.  The colours play with the fascinations of the warmest seasons of the year. Two of the models are white with golden details to recall the glare of the Summer sun, one model recalls the wet sand with a dark camel tone in contrast with the white and one is a patchwork model that symbolize change, spring with its transformations. www.originemadeinitaly.it
