Threading ideas for 200 years
The Gruppo Marzotto and Filivivi are celebrating the bicentennial of Lanerossi, founded by Francesco Rossi in Schio, with an exhibition entitled LANEROSSI. THREADING IDEAS FOR 200 YEARS. The exhibition heldes in Florence, at the Limonaia di Villa Vittoria from 13 to 16 June 2017 to tie in with Pitti Uomo, and at the Teatrino Lorenese inside the Fortezza da Basso from 28 to 30 June to tie in with Pitti Filati.
The exhibition sets out to highlight the outstanding calibre of Lanerossi's communication throughout its history, in the course of which it has made use of materials virtually unknown.
The exhibition has thus chosen to focus on the link between the works of the most important artists who cooperated with the firm from the 1930s - artists and designers of the calibre of Adolfo Busi, Studio Stile, Armando Testa, Pino Tovaglia, Severo Pozzati and Claudia Morgagni, or photographers such as Mauro Masera and Ugo Mulas.
The exhibition avails itself of materials from the outstanding heritage collection in the Archivio Storico Lanerossi di Schio owned by the Gruppo Marzotto.
Marzotto currently designs, manufactures and sells blankets and textiles under the Lanerossi brand.
