History and haute cuisine

Near Bergamo, in Bariano, there is The Convent of Neveri. It is an history place. Tourists can visit old tombs, the Roman chapel and pictures of past centuries.
Here, thanks to the restoration by an architect in Milan, you can enjoy spaces for high-profile events, weddings or enjoy gourmet food at The Convento dei Neveri restaurant
Climbing the stairs you can find a long corridor with 10 small rooms. Once they were the cells where the Carmelite friars could sleep from the end of 1400.
Today they are small privé spots from two to eight people for dinner or lunch. Here is served excellent food cooked by chef Alessandro Salsano.
The hall of Allegories hosts up to 60 persons, it is beautifully furnished and boasts of a large arcade.
The loft accommodates up to 35 people. It is a part of the monastery overlooking the Roman salon where you can see, thanks to the structures of glass and steel, the foundations and the Roman walls high up to thirteen meters.
The heart is the Chiostro. This space can accommodate 240 people. It is surrounded by a characteristic arcade.
The garden is an ideal location for aperitif in the summer season or for serving dessert at weddings. The restaurant offers a wide range of wines.
