Business or love but always at the table

Several novelties for AXOLUTE Comfort Hotel in Cantù of Lima Hospitality Group, near Lake Como, a district known for high-end Made in Italy craftsmanship and the furniture industry. "We relaunched the iconic UNICO restaurant (www.ristoranteunico.com), ideal for dinners with friends or romantic gatherings, parties or business meetings. It is strategic for its location between Como, Milan and the entire supply chain", explains Federico Lima, sommelier, manager of the facility and son of owner Luigi Lima of Lima Hospitality Group. "Our kitchen offers fine wines and champagnes that accompany the offerings of a menu that varies according to seasonality and availability of ingredients and is mainly aimed at local clientele. We make conventions with local furniture companies but in general we have an offer suitable for everyone: for more intimate moments or for business".
The location, with furnishings that we can describe as pleasingly minimalist-chic, has a promising team. At the helm of UNICO is young chef Massimiliano Bizzi with experience at the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola in Lugano and Villa d'Este in Cernobbio.
 Among its offerings is Salto Rice scented with roasted tomato, burrata stracciatella and raw red shrimp. Among the first courses, fresh pasta-based proposals such as Ravioli stuffed with roasted cauliflower and licorice, in warm fish brodetto scented with Hendrick's gin. For the main courses, meat and fish alternate with proposals that are all very tempting including The Beef Tartar, Crispy Yolk Carbonara, Pecorino Romano DOP or the seafood scents of Roasted Octopus with potato mousse and celery in two textures.
The uniqueness of UNICO is also represented by a rich proposal of gourmet pizzas and focaccias with high hydration and long leavening dough, enriched with delicious fillings: eggplant, confit tomatoes, basil, grana padano DOP. The pizzaiolo is Stefano Molteni.
Finally, the cocktail list takes inspiration in the reinterpretation of classics according to the latest trends in mixology, the art of cocktail preparation, which today wants little alcohol and above all attention to sustainability.
