Auberge de la Maison, located in Entrèves (Courmayeur), is a charming hotel standing on a vast lawn that affords a marvellous view of Mont Blanc.
As soon as you step inside you breathe traditional alpine charm: the confortable sofas in front of a crackling wood fire, the fragrance of aged wood and vintage prints on the walls.
The dishes prepared by restaurant L’Aubergine are genuine, tasty and respect local traditions. Freshwater fish and game, mushrooms and delicious sweet chestnuts come from the valleys of Aosta.
At the spa try Sugar and Hay scrub, Hot hay treatment for back and cervical muscles, Deep nourishing treatment using alpine meadow butter is an excellence.
"Every room has something different. We continue to invest in the improvement of both rooms and structure in general", Alessandra Garin, owner and hotel manager, explains. She has years of experience lived in her family, a law degree and a diploma from the famous Swiss Lausanne Academy.
Auberge de la Maison is just a few minute walk to departure station Skyway Mont Blanc (48 Euros for adults). At the intermediate step is the Pavillon du Mont Fréty (2,200 meters above sea level). Here you can admire a natural area rich in flora and fauna. Children can play at the Skyway for kids. Vallée d'Aoste Doc Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle Cuvée des Guides wine is to be tasted.
On the top is the Bistrot Glacier overlooking the spectacular Dente del Gigante. Mountain lovers can stay at the Rifugio Torino (3,335 meters).
