An increasingly technological Sea
With the end of the 2025 spring season, international boat shows are also on hold. In the summer months — from June, with Venice as the last show, to September, with Cannes as the first European show — the boats previously presented will take to the water with a wide range of new features and models. What do the new yachts have in common? Eco-sustainability and unique, optimized design.
Azimut - Benetti aiming at sustainability
The development of yachts over 24 meters by the group will now be in collaboration with SEA Index, a non-profit association of the Yacht Club de Monaco, which deals with sustainability during naval production and measures the CO₂ index, aiming at its reduction for large vessels. “The Sea Index CO₂ Emission Rating tool, in addition to allowing owners to evaluate the energy consumption of their boats, can be integrated already at the design phase of new yachts, thus favoring a more conscious and environmentally respectful construction,” explains the company.
Azimut Seadeck 7 - Ecology and design
With its commitment to technological innovation and sustainability, Azimut wins the Yacht Style Awards 2025 in the Motoryacht 21–24 meters category with its SEADECK 7 model. The key words of the SEADECK model are design and sustainability. The design by Alberto Mancini represents direct contact with nature also through the concept of Fun Island, a reinterpretation of the aft cockpit that transforms into a terrace over the sea by eliminating all barriers.
But it is not only the refined lines that distinguish this boat: the modern naval architecture of the structure allows a 40% reduction in emissions compared to similar boats, also thanks to electrification and the use of carbon fiber in the hull.
Arcadia Yachts A80new - Green functionality
Staying within the medium category of yachts, Arcadia will present the new A80new at the Cannes show. This 24-meter vessel bases its philosophy on a new concept of naval ecology and on the functionality of spaces without giving up luxury and material quality. This boat allows complete freedom of navigation and anchoring, thanks to compliance with the latest directives on Posidonia Oceanica, an important algae for the oxygenation of the sea. Solar panels are also featured, allowing “slow yachting” navigation with up to a 27% reduction in consumption compared to the average. Spaces are optimized for maximum comfort: Arcadia’s typical "Main Deck" is a large open space without interruptions, creating a seamless connection between interior and exterior and linking five customizable cabins using warm and welcoming materials.
Prado Endurance 72 - Long-range with low consumption
The Prado Shipyard also presents the new 72-foot (22 meters) flagship of the Endurance series. The concept was already known for accompanying the renowned Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailboat during the hospitality of the 2024 America's Cup, a competitive sailing regatta. This year the boat was officially presented to the public in March 2025 in the United States. Long range and optimization are the key concepts. The lines highlight the Made in Italy tradition with typical elegance and dynamism, always keeping an eye on privacy.
The hybrid engine proposal aims at comfort, autonomy, and efficiency. Consumption is 80 liters per hour for a maximum range of 72 hours of navigation at 12 knots. The classic use of wood is complemented by technical materials and fabrics to reinterpret spaces without losing the traditional essence of the interiors.
Maxim Yachts Max 44R - Lightning-fast daycruiser
Moving to the small yacht category, Maxim returns to the American Palm Beach show with its Max 44R project. This 44-foot (13.5 meters) boat focuses on speed: Mercury Verado outboard engines delivering over 1200 horsepower allow it to reach 50 knots, offering maximum adrenaline for everyday cruising. With this vessel, the Spanish shipyard aims to expand into the American market.
Apreamare Gozzo 35 - Elegance and tradition for weekends
The Italian shipyard showed up at Palm Beach with a model that fully captures the Mediterranean feeling. The Gozzo 35 by Apreamare is a 10-meter boat designed by Cataldo Aprea, whose origins lie in the tradition of the Aprea family’s Sorrentine gozzi, known worldwide. For a pleasure craft, this boat offers wide deck spaces and a double bedroom with separate bathroom and shower. There are also open spaces and shaded peninsulas for dinners of 6 to 8 people. Volvo Penta engines are known for being highly efficient and environmentally friendly without compromising performance.
Ares Spitfire - 50 meters of history
When it comes to yachts, large ones must not be missed: Ares presents a 50.5-meter superyacht inspired by the famous Supermarine Spitfire airplane, a historical tribute that does not renounce comfort and space.
The selected materials are advanced composites, and the design seeks to blend an industrial and functional aesthetic with natural elements. The owner's suite offers a 270-degree panoramic view and includes a private outdoor cinema. Each room is named after aspects of military aviation. The platform and naval architecture allow speeds of over 20 knots with a range of 3500 nautical miles, and the hybrid diesel-electric system aims to reduce emissions, with the ability to keep the hotel area (rooms and lounges only, not propulsion) powered for 11 hours without starting the diesel engines. ©Deluxu.it Magazine
