Pomandère, Sea Salt SS27 Collection by Carlo Zanuso

Pomandère, the Essence of the Sea

Pomandère’s new Spring/Summer 2027 collection is inspired by the contemplation of a seascape where time seems to slow down and nature reveals its most authentic essence. Sea Salt is a story told through light, silence and texture, where the sea becomes an aesthetic inspiration and salt is transformed into a symbol of primordial, essential and timeless beauty. The colour palette captures the essence of this natural universe, drawing directly from the elements of the coastal landscape. The warm hues of seashells emerge through ecru, jute, clay and cadmium accents, while earthy tones evolve from ivory to ebony, passing through sulphur and oil. Organic seaweed greens coexist with mint, chlorophyll and army green, while the world of fishing nets introduces dusty rope tones, cerulean, sky blue and deep clay hues. The iridescent delicacy of mother-of-pearl takes shape in quartz pinks, mauves, tobacco and golden yellow, before reaching the depths of the night sea, where black, chalk, indigo and navy blue evoke the reflection of the moon on the water. A sophisticated colour story that naturally accompanies every moment of the collection. Textile research, a defining element of Pomandère’s identity, continues to evolve through materials that interpret the textures of the marine landscape with a contemporary approach. The collection further develops its offering of dresses, shirts and outerwear, with a focus on functionality, versatility and harmonious fits. Cotton poplin takes centre stage, offered in solid colours and in a new ivory-and-havana striped version, while stripes run throughout the entire wardrobe in a variety of constructions: from irregular cotton stripes with a casual feel to refined cotton-silk interpretations enlivened by vibrant hues such as mint, camellia and cadmium orange. These are complemented by tone-on-tone woven stripes, crinkled pinstripes on cotton-linen bases and cotton fil-à-fil fabrics, which reinterpret classic shirting with understated femininity and elegance. The collection’s lightness finds expression in crêpe gauze, offered both in solid colours and embellished with raised polka-dot embroidery; in silk-cotton habotai, designed for more sophisticated occasions; and in cotton-silk chiffon, available in an extensive palette featuring delicate accents of lime and sky blue. The pursuit of excellence also leads to India, where traditional embroidery techniques give rise to exquisite jaali openwork details on linen garments of understated elegance. Linen continues to evolve through natural gauzes and silk-blend embossed satins, treated with double dyeing and an Airo finish to create luminous, subtly textured surfaces. Completing the selection are crinkled eco-viscose with a tactile appearance and crêponne lyocell voile, which lends effortless elegance to both special occasions and everyday wear.
Denim expands its role within the collection through new silhouettes and a deliberately authentic aesthetic. The raw version, treated with an enzyme wash without whiskering, retains the depth of the original indigo and is finished with traditional tobacco-coloured topstitching, while preserving a soft, comfortable hand feel. Meanwhile, the outerwear offering explores different weights and functions: from lightweight padded crinkle nylon-silk, garment-dyed, to waterproof coated fabric with a nappa-like finish, as well as cotton drill and vintage-effect Panama fabric. Together, these materials reaffirm the collection’s ongoing commitment to functionality without compromising elegance.
Knitwear completes the collection with yarns that combine comfort and lightness. Extra-fine organic cotton conveys an essential, almost weightless femininity, while stretch frisé cotton and openwork organic cotton introduce tactile surfaces and textured stitches that echo the irregularities of nature. For the beginning of the season, alpaca-merino adds softness and warmth through a fresh, luminous palette, while retaining the sophisticated restraint that characterises the collection as a whole.
