VIP Events Boom

From November 19 to 21, 2025, the WIM Event will bring together in Florence over 350 qualified professionals, including more than 100 buyers from over 20 countries. Participants will include wedding planners, event designers, travel advisors, and DMCs (Destination Management Companies), as well as companies and venues involved in designing and producing high-end private events and promoting Italy as an exclusive destination.
With an estimated value exceeding €20 billion, more than 50,000 companies, and over 300,000 active professionals, the private events industry confirms itself as a strategic sector for the Italian economy. Within this context, WIM – We Inspire Memories – serves as the leading professional hub and reference platform for the upper-mid, high, and luxury segments of the national and international market, and has announced that the 2025 edition is already sold out.
Following the 250 participants of the 2024 edition, this year’s growth confirms WIM’s consolidation as the benchmark B2B platform for the industry. Data analysis from previous editions and market research conducted throughout 2025 highlight the commercial value of the network: international agencies organize an average of two to five events per year in Italy, with budgets ranging from €800 to €1,000 per person for services, and from €300 to €1,200 per night for accommodation.
Italian agencies manage between eight and twenty events annually, with average spending between €500 and €1,000 for services and €200–700 per night for hospitality, while DMCs and travel advisors generate fifteen to forty group bookings per year, primarily in the upper-upscale and luxury segments.
Overall, the attending buyers represent an estimated potential of 700–1,500 events per year, worth between €90 and €120 million in event services and €90 to €150 million in hospitality.
During the November event, the new WIM For Pro will be officially launched — a digital accelerator designed to help industry companies optimize their organizational and commercial operations through functions powered by agentic artificial intelligence, the first of its kind in the events sector worldwide. The program will enable continuous matching with qualified leads throughout the year, further expanding the business opportunities created by the WIM Tour 2025, which involved over 800 professionals in Italy and key markets such as Paris, London, New York, and Dubai, as well as the upcoming 2026 tour, which aims to reach even more users.
Over the course of the three-day event, each supplier will have the opportunity to generate between thirty and sixty direct contacts, with an average follow-up conversion rate ranging from 5% to 20%, depending on the type of service offered. The WIM model is based on an integrated approach that combines the physical experience — fostering authentic relationships and direct connections — with a digital platform that ensures continuity, tracking, and structured follow-up actions. This system has proven to deliver excellent performance in terms of return on investment and exhibitor and partner loyalty.
