Creating authentic connections between wine, the land, and people. Honoring—and actively promoting—rich local traditions. Welcoming visitors and offering opportunities to discover and gain deeper insight into a location, transforming a simple visit into an experience that reflects the richness and diversity of Italy’s wine regions. This is the vision driving Oniwines—a wine project by the Veneto-based group Oniverse (owner of brands such as Calzedonia and Pardo Yachts)—as it develops wine tourism across its estates. With six properties spread across some of the country’s most important wine-growing areas, Oniwines offers a hospitality model that places the identity and uniqueness of the territory at its heart. Each winery serves as a microcosm revealing the environmental and cultural characteristics that make it distinct, offering visitors a journey through Italy’s wine landscape from north to south. "Each winery interprets wine tourism according to its own unique character, turning the visit into a journey of discovery—exploring the landscape, the people, and the local products that define each region—in an experience that blends culture with sensory delight," a statement explains. "Guided tours of the vineyards and cellars introduce guests to the history, traditions, and production methods of each estate, while wine tastings are paired with a selection of local specialties that reflect the region's culinary culture. At some estates, the experience is further enriched by in-depth activities focused on exceptional food and wine, and—where available—the chance to stay overnight amidst the vineyards."
All that remains is to choose:
• ERT1050, in Trentino-Alto Adige, an expression of mountain viticulture and its unique climatic conditions. The visits offer an understanding of the relationship between humans and the Alpine environment, through a journey that combines landscape, sustainability, and the classical method.
• La Giuva, in Valpolicella: here, the winery—surrounded by the vineyards of Val Squaranto—welcomes visitors into a landscape shaped by history and local winemaking tradition. Amidst the cultivated slopes, the bond with the land is expressed in every detail of the visitor experience, featuring tastings that highlight the wines alongside local specialties.
• Pico Maccario, in Piedmont: a symbol of one of Italy’s most prestigious wine regions, it offers an immersive experience in the heart of the Langhe, where contemporary art interacts with the vineyards.
• Podere Guardia Grande, in Alghero, Sardinia: here, the vineyard engages in a dialogue with the surrounding environment and the influence of the sea. The Mediterranean scrub accompanies visitors on a journey that pairs the estate’s wines with the flavors of Sardinian tradition.
• Tenimenti Leone, just outside Rome: this estate views wine tourism as an opportunity to rediscover a heritage rich in indigenous varieties. Visits and tastings—paired with typical products from the Lazio countryside—offer an authentic experience of the region. The estate also offers the chance to stay right amidst the vineyards.
• Villa Bucci, in the Marche region: a benchmark for viticulture deeply rooted in local culture. The extraordinarily harmonious hilly landscape tells a story that intertwines family history, the sense of place, and the promotion of indigenous grape varieties.
Through these estates, Oniwines builds a network of experiences that promote slow, mindful, and knowledge-oriented tourism.
In this context, the wineries are not merely production sites but true centers of wine culture, where the tasting experience is enriched by insights into sustainability, research, and the exploration of the landscape.
