Nautical look for the 500 Spiaggina

A chic way to reach your yacht? Now it exists. The collaboration between Garage Italia, a creative hub founded by Lapo Elkann, and Hot Lab, a Milanese studio founded in 2004 and active as a strategic partner in the luxury yacht design sector, has given life to a new configuration of the famous Fiat 500 Spiaggina.
This project unites the automotive world, yachting, and Italian craftsmanship into a single vision of contemporary vacation luxury.
The beautiful vehicle is not conceived as a simple car but as an extension of the "aesthetic language" of a boat, designed to integrate into shipowners' yachting projects.
"The marine character of the vehicle emerges from several distinctive elements, starting with the livery, which features a precise visual division of the bodywork split along the waterline to recall the separation between the hull and the surface of the sea," explains the press release. "Among the details stand out the Heritage wooden central tunnel inspired by vintage speedboats, which integrates practical functionalities such as magazine racks and an optional bottle holder with leather straps and a metal base, the interiors that recall nautical tradition with the Nardi Classic wooden steering wheel, the blue and white marine-grade floor mats, and the side ropes inspired by traditional nautical knots." Completing the setup is Scia, a new indoor-outdoor fabric developed by Garage Italia together with Mariaflora, whose pattern reinterprets the classic striped motif inspired by the wake left by a boat on the water.
